Dentures

A denture is a removable dental appliance use to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissue. They can enhance your smile, making you look and feel better and are made to closely resemble your natural teeth. Dentures also provide support to surrounding facial muscles and prevent them from sagging.

There are two different types of dentures – complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing either in the upper jaw, lower jaw or both, while partial dentures are used to replace a few missing teeth. A Partial denture not only fills in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from moving into the gap and creating bite

Dentures can be made of acrylic or chrome. Dr Potter will be pleased to advise you on the material most suitable for you.
